What is Halotherapy

Halotherapy is a holistic treatment in a man-made salt room, which reproduces the unique microclimate found in natural salt caves. Halotherapy is effective in treating a variety of upper and lower respiratory tract disorders and skin conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, cystic fibrosis, eczema and psoriasis.
How Does Salt Therapy Work?
Patients sit in the salt room for 45 minutes and breathe in the fine salt aerosol, which is transported to the smallest bronchi, or airway passages, in the lungs as well as to other parts of the respiratory tract such as the sinuses and nasal cavity. The salt particles act as an anti-bacterial agent, dissolving bacteria and pollutants lodged in the respiratory tract. These are then either coughed up by the patient or are expelled during the metabolic processes via the bloodstream. The treatment also reduces inflammation in the lungs, thins out mucus build-up, improves lung function and opens up breathing passages.

What Kind of Salt do you use?
We use salt from the world-renowned Dead Sea in Israel, one of the world’s saltiest bodies of water where animals cannot flourish (hence the name). People from around the world have been visiting the Dead Sea for a variety of health benefits as far back as during the time of the ancient Egyptians. Dead Sea salt has a uniquely high concentration of minerals, particularly magnesium and bromide, which relieve allergic reactions by cleansing and detoxifying.
